First Born Program of Los Alamos

First Born Program of Los Alamos is a free, home visiting service for parents residing in Los Alamos County, New Mexico.

Mask Policy change as of April 10, 2023 - Following mask mandate changes locally, including pediatric offices, FBPLA is no longer requiring masks to be worn by staff or families, whether meeting at home or in our offices.  Families are still welcome to wear masks and may ask their home visitors to continue to wear a mask.  Masks will be worn to follow CDC guidelines, such as in the case of close contact situations.

First Born Program ® of Los Alamos (FBPLA)  is a nonprofit organization that provides parents and primary caregivers with education and support to encourage normal growth and development of happy, healthy babies in positive, nurturing families.  FBPLA provides free home visitation services to all families in Los Alamos County.  Services may be requested at any time during pregnancy, at the birth of the baby, or until the baby is two months of age, and continue until the child is five years of age (60 months), or until the family no longer requests program services.
