To be eligible for our program, you must reside in Los Alamos County (Los Alamos, White Rock, or Bandelier National Monument). The program is designed for any family who is expecting or has a child under 5 years old. All families are welcome to apply, eligibility is not based on financial need.

First Born Program of Los Alamos is now utilizing ECECD's new online self-referral portal, "Am I Eligible". The button above will redirect you to the ECECD "Apply for Services" page. Simply "apply" and you will be shown all of the services that your family is eligible to receive such as childcare assistance and home visiting services like the First Born Program. (preferred method)
You can also fill out the referral form (see on left). Fill out the first page as best you can and then save the pdf and email it to us at welcome@firstbornla.org.
